    2)Inch/Unified Threads: #4-40, #6-32, #8-32, #10-32, 1/4"-20, 5/16"-18, 3/8"-16... to 1-1/2" and larger.

    3)Lengths: We typically offer a variety of standard lengths, including 1D, 1.5D, 2D, 2.5D, and 3D (D represents the nominal diameter). Custom lengths are also available.

    Advantages

    1) No Need to Disassemble the Installation Tang: This is its core advantage. Traditional tail screw inserts require breaking off and removing the installation tang after installation, a process that carries operational risks (such as uneven tang breakage, damage to threads, or the tang falling into equipment). The tailless design completely eliminates this risk.

    While installing a ferrule requires specialized tools, the installation process is simpler and more reliable than installing a ferrule.
    Required tools:

    1)Specialized tap: A special tap designed to match the external threads of a ferrule (different sizes than taps for ferrules; they cannot be mixed).

    2)Specialized installation mandrel/tool head: This tool has internal guide threads that allow the ferrule to be compressed and inserted into the hole.

    3)Installation wrench: A manual or pneumatic wrench used to drive the installation mandrel.

    1)Drilling: Use a drill bit of the specified size according to the insert specifications to drill a hole in the base material.

    2)Tapping: Use a dedicated tap for threadless inserts to create the internal threads. Be sure to thoroughly remove any debris from the hole.

    3)Loading the Insert: Thread the threadless insert onto the guide threads of the mounting mandrel. The insert will slightly contract.

    4)Threading the Insert: Align the mounting mandrel with the tapped bottom hole. Rotate the wrench vertically to insert the insert into the hole until the desired depth is reached (usually flush with or slightly below the workpiece surface).

    5)Removing the Tool: Rotate the mounting wrench in the opposite direction. The mounting mandrel will remove the insert, leaving the threadless insert fully installed.

    6)Inspecting: Use a go/no-go gauge or matching screw to check thread accuracy after installation.
